Statement of Purpose

The Communications Division provides an ongoing program of public information and community engagement, which is designed to inform, connect and educate residents, visitors and business owners about the City's activities, programs and policies. A variety of methods and materials are utilized to disseminate information including the City's monthly electronic newsletter; website; social media accounts; local government access cable channel; local advertising; media releases and advisories; special publications; and community events.


The Communications Division is also responsible for the general marketing and promotion of the City at the local, regional and state levels. The Division is also engaged in the facilitation of programs that recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations that contribute to the enhancement and general well-being of the community.
