Santa Rita Water Reclamation Facility
Mission
Why We Exist
The Santa Rita Water Reclamation Facility protects the recreational and agricultural uses of the Animas River.
Key Functions
What We Do
- We use energy, technology and manpower to maintain a microbiological system capable of treating the City’s sewage beyond the requirements set by the EPA and CDPHE.
- We collect, analyze and present data to make informed, cost-effective decisions that protect the ratepayers’ investment in the SRWRF’s assets.
- We maintain a staff of educated and motivated technicians who personally identify with the organization's mission.
FY 2021 Strategic Accomplishments
Ensure Effective Infrastructure Network (EEIN)
Through consistent and effective process control decision-making, SRWRF continued to meet CDPHE’s
nutrient incentive program requirements, postponing implementation of more restrictive permit limits on
nitrogen and phosphorus effluent discharges.
FY 2021-2022 Our Strategic Initiatives
Ensure Effective Infrastructure Network (EEIN)
- Implementation of Hach WIMS software to collect, store and manage data via a SQL database.
- Maintain and grow staff of technicians who engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
