Live with Honor, Serve with Pride
Who We Are...
The Trophy Club Police Department is committed to partnering with the community to provide quality Police service and create a safe environment through fair and impartial law enforcement. We promote dignity and respect while recognizing our community's needs to maintain order and protect individual rights. This mission is accomplished by staying committed to the highest standard of excellence and maintaining accountability for actions in the community.
Opportunities
Volunteer with TC Police Department. Our volunteers perform a wide variety of services within the department. Volunteers are trained to provide another set of eyes and ears to detect, report, and prevent crime by patrolling our streets in our Police Citizens on Patrol Vehicle. Volunteers also assist at the police department's front counter, assist with general admin and various requests from the Police Chief. Volunteers also assist with many of the Town's major events.
Challenges
Recruiting qualified individuals and maintaining a professional staff.
What We Have Accomplished
- Trophy Club has been named the 2nd Safest City, with Trophy Club being ranked the # 2 safest city is a great compliment to the men and women of the Trophy Club Police Department for their dedication and commitment to providing an extremely high level of service.
- The Canine Unit consisting of one officer and one highly trained dog. The unit significantly improved the department's capacity to conduct narcotic searches, assisting in crowd control, locating missing persons, and ammunition/explosion detection.
- The School Resource Officer (SRO) concept is the placement of experienced law enforcement professionals in the high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools with the following goals. Creating and maintaining safe, secure, and orderly learning environments for students, teachers, and staff. Establish a trusting channel of communication with the students, parents, and teachers. Serve as a positive role model to instill in student's good moral standards, good judgment and discretion, respect for other students, and a sincere concern for the school community.
- TCPD Bike Patrol has increased the number of bicycles and officers on bike patrols. On a bicycle, an officer is much more approachable than in a car and can help build new contacts and trust from the citizens. This allows officers to be proactive in fighting crime rather than reactive. Bike Patrol Officers can be much more aware of concerns before they turn into problems.
- Our Police Department has a very active community volunteer program. The Trophy Club Police Department currently has several volunteer programs. All volunteers must attend the required training course for the desired program.
What We Expect To Accomplish
- Maintaining the safest place to live in Texas.
