The City of Tampa’s Mobility Department staff is committed to providing highest quality customer service. The FIX IT FAST program focuses on processes that deliver timely repairs, while improving efficiency, communication and performance tracking.

Potholes

Potholes are formed from voids in asphalt roads where asphalt has been detached by the elements and vehicular traffic.


Pothole repairs are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to repair potholes within three (3) business days after notification.

Asphalt Edge of Pavement

Over time, the edges of a road can erode when there is bare soil next to it. When this happens, parts of the pavement will start to break off.


Edge of Pavement defects are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to repair the delaminations within three (3) business days after notification

Asphalt Delaminations

Asphalt delaminations are portions of the roadway where the top layer of asphalt has separated from the lower layer.


Asphalt Delamination repairs are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to repair the delaminations within three (3) business days after notification.

Critical Signs

STOP Signs, YIELD signs, One-way, Wrong-way and Do Not Enter Signs require immediate repair.


Critical Signs repairs are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to repair critical signs within two (2) hours after notification.

Common Signs

There are approximately 88,000 traffic signs within the City of Tampa limits that are monitored. This is done to ensure that traffic signs have good reflective qualities for nighttime driving.


Common Signs repairs are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to repair common signs within forty-eight (48) hours after notification.

Sign Obstructions

Over time, trees and foliage can grow enough to cover traffic signs within the right-of-way.


Sign Obstructions repairs are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to remediate sign obstructions within two (2) hours after notification.

Roadway Obstructions

Unfortunately, roadways are obstructed from time to time with downed trees and illegally dumped material. In order to maintain roadways for emergency services and all road users, obstructions must be cleared as soon as possible.


Roadway Obstructions are reported by the number repaired each month.


The City’s performance standard is to remediate roadway obstructions within two (2) hours after notification.
