PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Construction of a second Senior Center in the Canopy development. The Senior Center is designed to accommodate the growing interest in lifelong learning, art and music, cards and game activities, and wellness and fitness classes by Tallahassee’s increasing population of people age 50+. The 40,000 square foot building will provide opportunities to host various programs, including a Gymnasium for Pickleball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, and Fitness classes. A large multi-purpose room and café/lobby area will host conferences, workshops, and concerts. This complete multi-service Senior Center will be a safe and comfortable gathering space for seniors to stay physically, mentally, and socially healthy and connect with friends and important services.
