Public safety remains a top priority for the City of Tallahassee and continues to invest in essential equipment and infrastructure to ensure the community remains safe, resilient, and inclusive. Looking at FY26, the Tallahassee Police Department continues to make progress towards modernizing its facilities by completing the new Police Facility, while also implementing new technologies to allow for more innovative and proactive law enforcement. The Tallahassee Fire Department also continues to modernize its facilities with the construction of the new station on Lake Bradford Road, while also ensuring current infrastructure is top of the line.

Individual Project Descriptions

Vantage Tactical Robot  - The Tactical Robot Project is funded via the State Law Enforcement Forfeiture Fund. This project, as requested by the Chief of Police, to the governing body of the municipality, complies with the provisions of 932.7055 (5) (b) Florida Statutes.
