Public Infrastructure
Electric and Gas, Underground Utilities, and Public Infrastructure
A goal of the City of Tallassee is to be the leading publicly owned utility that supports a growing and progressive community and to be a city with an efficient public transit network supported by well-connected roads, sidewalks, transit, amenities, and public transportation. Due to the nature of these projects, financially, Public Infrastructure is the largest portion of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Projects range from supporting the City owned utilities such as Electric, Gas, Stormwater, Sewer, Water, and Solid Waste, to supporting the enhancement of new public transit infrastructure like the South City Transit Center, to enhancing and improving local roads, sidewalks, and bike lanes.
