PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project funds system updates and maintenance to the Tallahassee Advanced Transportation Management System (TATMS). Funding will be necessary to replace aging equipment, implement further intelligent transportation system (ITS) capabilities, deploy emerging transportation technologies, and maintain the existing system. System enhancements include the addition of redundant routes for the TATMS fiber optic cables, additional remote workstations, a streaming video website, expanded traveler’s information systems, travel time reliability systems, upgrading and installing new uninterruptable power supplies, and upgrading and installing new detection systems. This project also funds new installations and upgrades to City-Owned signalized intersections.
