Environmental Services
Environmental Services assists City facilities and operations stay compliant with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, rules, and ordinances. This includes permitting, licensing, rule analysis, regulatory reporting, agency inspections, compliance testing, assessments, remediation of contaminated properties, and enforcement negotiations. Environmental Services also oversees the City’s, Brownfields Redevelopment Program, Aquifer Protection and Industrial Pretreatment Program, the Water Quality Lab, and environmental, land use, zoning, and building code enforcement.

To ensure that all City departments comply with environmental regulations, including awareness of any new regulatory changes, managing the City’s highly acclaimed Brownfields Program.
Facilities
The Facilities Management department oversees the citywide Facilities Management program, which provides HVAC repair and maintenance, project management, architectural, and engineering design services for all aspects of construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of City facilities, buildings, and their related structures.

To provide a safe, comfortable, accessible, and efficient environment for all employees, visitors, and guests.
These departments are an internal service and fully allocated to the operating funds.
