Goal 3: Infrastructure
To provide safe, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure for the community.
Objective 1: Create conveniently located spaces for interactions and exchanges to enhance a sense of community with a focus on environmental initiatives such as increased tree covered spaces, clean water/lakes, and green facilities.
This reports tracks the percentage of City owned parks withing a 10 minute drive from any point within the city limits. The City strives to, at the bare minimun, have 90% of its parks within a 10 minute drive as the city continues to grow and expand its boundaries.
In a Survey conducted by the Parks & Recreations Department, out of 373 respondents, 298 ranked City Parks as "excellent" and/or "good".
Objective 2: Improve mobility and connectivity together with partner agencies to create a safe, walkable, and bikeable community.
The National Recreation and Parks Association recommends that 15 miles of trails is the median number to provide at a municipalty serving 50,000 to 99,999 residents. The City's Strategic Plan acknowledges that there is work to be done to improve mobility and connectivity in the City. Trails being an essential component of our Strategic Objectives.
Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is the measurement that indicates the state of the pavement/road infrastructure in the City. An index higher than 70 is considered satisfactory.
Objective 3: Improve quality of life by planning, maintaining, financing, and upgrading infrastructure, facilities, and outdoor spaces in alignment with City's strategic initiatives, and adopted levels of service standards to meet existing and future growth.
This report measures the average gallons per day produced by our city water plants.
This report measures the percentage of waste water that is received, processed, and sent out as reuse water for irrigation throughout the city.
The Building Maintenance Division works hard to ensure our facilities are maintained and taken cared of. This report measures the number of work orders processed by the Division per Fiscal Quarter.
