REVISIONS TO THE FY25 ADOPTED PROVISIONAL BUDGET

The originally adopted provisional budget was based on Virginia’s “skinny” budget pending the final budget. When the state passed the final budget in September 2023, the budget was revised to include the additional funding. The operating fund was increased $6 million to include a revised teacher scale, compensation adjustment of 2% for service staff and FTE adjustments for growth (19 FTEs) and technical adjustments. The grants fund was increased to include one-time support of $10 million for “All In” tutoring, Literacy Act implementation support, chronic absenteeism support, $500 bonuses for full time staff, and activity buses to support after school tutoring.
