We provide materials for patrons as fast as we can!
Book Club Service & Interlibrary Loan
Our Book Club Service makes it easy to select titles and run book club discussions. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. You provide the Book Club – we’ll do the rest! Click HERE for more information about our Book Club Service!
We provided 481 items for 45 community book clubs this month. We also added two new club this month!
16 book clubs read our book sets. 2 clubs each read: It Ends with Us, Lessons in Chemistry, The Lincoln Highway, and West with Giraffes!
Interlibrary Loan is the ability to get our patrons materials that are not available at our library or within the SWAN consortium. This month, we received the following items for patrons:
- 131 items were borrowed for our patrons
- 53 items were lent to libraries around the country

This month, Youth Services issued 22 museum passes.

Sunday Concert: West Suburban Flute Orchestra
More than 100 patrons enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of flute music, performed by a select ensemble from the West Suburban Flute Orchestra—the largest flute orchestra in the U.S. with a roster of 140+ flute players. The orchestra utilizes the full spectrum of the flute family–from piccolo to contrabass flute. The West Suburban Flute Orchestra was founded by David Kelsey, Outreach Services Librarian at the St. Charles Public Library.
Adult Outreach Programs
This month, the Adult Outreach team delivered 1,458 non-circulating and 1,123 circulating items to patrons and facilities in our community. Also, 15 circulating items were mailed out.
Youth Outreach Programs
This month, Youth Services selected 256 items to support classrooms for 13 teacher in the St. Charles community. Teachers in our area can request library materials and learn more about our teacher outreach HERE.
Under the Sea Dance Party
The Under the Sea Dance Party held during Spring Break on March 30 had 58 attendees!
It was a lot of fun for families to play games, dance, and connect.
They also loved meeting the department shark character.
