New Materials, Purchase Requests, and More!

We provide materials for patrons as fast as we can! This month, 728 titles were rushed to fill patron holds!

If an item fits our collection guidelines, we will order items for patrons based upon requests. This month, 34 items were ordered to fill patron requests! Also, 1,781 items were ordered in February. 14 items were ordered as part of our Patron Driven Acquisitions program.

We created a catalog presence for STC Creative. Patrons can see what kind of tools we have, and they can find information to become certified on each one.


We completed re-cataloging and processing our Sheet music collection, completing updates on 768 items.

Book Club Service & Interlibrary Loan

Our Book Club Service makes it easy to select titles and run book club discussions. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. You provide the Book Club – we’ll do the rest! Click HERE for more information about our Book Club Service!


We provided 263 items for 29 community book clubs this month. Popular titles this month:


Interlibrary Loan is the ability to get our patrons materials that are not available at our library or within the SWAN consortium. This month, we recieved the following items for patrons:

  • 101 items were borrowed for our patrons
  • 114 items were lent to libraries around the country

Youth General Programs


This month, Youth Services issued 4 muesum passes.

Chicago Deep Dish Pizza with Kristyn Slick

Library patrons learned to make THE famed Chicago-style deep dish pizza from scratch, plus received a great food history lesson about this classic, too!


Cooking instructor and certified family health coach Kristyn Slick demonstrated how to make the perfect deep-dish pizza.



Adult Outreach Programs


This month, the Adult Outreach team delivered 1,422 non-circulating and 946 circulating items to patrons and facilities in our community. Also, 45 circulating items were mailed out.

Youth Outreach Programs


This month, Youth Services selected 160 items to support classrooms for 9 teachers in the St. Charles community. Interested teachers can request materials and learn more HERE.

Winter Reading Program

The Youth Services Department had a successful Winter Reading Program!


The program began on January 14 and ended on February 14.



• 140 children registered



• 89 children completed the program



• 41,674 minutes were read
