An Evening with Artist

Amanda Browder

The St. Charles Public Library partnered with the St. Charles Arts Council for a special presentation featuring New York artist Amanda Browder to discuss her community-wide art project.

Amanda's projects are large-scale fabric installations that are draped over large buildings or structures. The project involved draping a large-scale fabric art piece over the south wall of the St. Charles Municipal Building. The fabric piece was sewn by community members over the course of two weeks in July and August.

Her artwork is "a celebration of location, community, sustainability and the self-beautification and celebration of a town." Learn more about Amanda Browder and her work HERE.
