New Materials, Purchase Requests, and More!

We provide materials for patrons as fast as we can! This month, 818 titles were rushed to fill patron holds!

If an item fits our collection guidelines, we will order items for patrons based upon requests. This month, 56 items were ordered to fill patron requests! Also, 1,483 items were ordered in January. 10 items were ordered as part of our Patron Driven Acquisitions program.
We added the first Comic books to the collection for the Teen Loft area!

Book Club Service & Interlibrary Loan

Our Book Club Service makes it easy to select titles and run book club discussions. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. You provide the Book Club – we’ll do the rest! Click HERE for more information about our Book Club Service!

We provided 420 items for 41 community book clubs this month.

Book Discussion Set collection was moved to the open shelves for browsing and holds. 105 items circulated this month

Interlibrary Loan is the ability to get our patrons materials that are not available at our library or within the SWAN consortium. This month, we recieved the following items for patrons:

  • 87 items were borrowed for our patrons
  • 42 items were lent to libraries around the country

This month, Youth Services issued 2 muesum passes.

Architectural Tour of the World

Educational entertainer Martina Mathisen took us around the globe to discover the fantastic structures that have stunned the world. Of the one hundred super structures that stand on our planet today, the first fifty took eighty years in total to build. The second fifty have taken five years! What is happening in architecture today is stunning.

This program was available to patrons via Zoom and recorded for our YouTube channel for all to enjoy.

Adult Outreach Programs

This month, the Adult Outreach team delivered 1,000 non-circulating and 597 circulating items to patrons and facilities in our community. Also, 33 circulating items were mailed out.

Youth Outreach Programs

This month, Youth Services selected 327 items to support classrooms for 14 teachers in the St. Charles community. Interested teachers can request materials and learn more HERE.


The Big Balloon Show!

The Library Show where every kid gets a front row seat!

This Virtual Show, hosted on Zoom, had 64 attendees for his virtual balloon show! This is pretty incredible! Feedback from the community was overwhelmingly positive.
