New Materials, Purchase Requests, and More!

We provide materials for patrons as fast as we can!

If an item fits our collection guidelines, we will order items for patrons based upon requests. This month, 79 items were ordered to fill patron requests! Also, 1,375 total items were ordered in September. 46 items were ordered as part of our Patron Driven Acquisitions program.

Book Club Service & Interlibrary Loan

Our Book Club Service makes it easy to select titles and run book club discussions. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. You provide the Book Club – we’ll do the rest! Click HERE for more information about our Book Club Service!


We provided 517 items for 52 community book clubs this month. The program continues to grow as we added one new club this month!


Interlibrary Loan is the ability to get our patrons materials that are not available at our library or within the SWAN consortium. This month, we received the following items for patrons:

  • 151 items were borrowed for our patrons
  • 111 items were lent to libraries around the country

St. Charles Public Library Participated in STC Jazz Weekend

The St. Charles Public Library kicked off its annual Sunday Concert Series on Sunday, September 10, at 2:00 p.m. with a special performance in partnership with the 12th annual St. Charles Jazz Weekend.

The performance was an explosive violin and guitar program showcasing the incredible musical chemistry between violist Daniela Bisenius and guitarist Gabriel Datcu, two of Chicago’s most celebrated artists.

The concert included sophisticated arrangements of well-known jazz and gypsy jazz standards, classical works, and sensual Argentinian tango music.

Adult Outreach Programs


This month, the Adult Outreach team delivered 1,459 non-circulating and 1,029 circulating items to patrons and facilities in our community. Also, 14 circulating items were mailed out.

Youth Outreach Programs


This month, Youth Services selected 65 items to support classrooms for 3 teacher in the St. Charles community. Teachers in our area can request library materials and learn more about our teacher outreach HERE.

It's Fall Y'all!

It’s Fall Ya’ll, for ages 0-5, had 106 people attend and participate in some fall-themed activities! The program ran for 2 hours to allow people to stop by when they were able and featured 3 craft stations and 4 activity stations.
