This report shows the Department of Digital Service and Open Government (DSOG)'s monthly budget expenses and compares those expenses to the total budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19.
Major Tech Projects
How much money are we spending on our major technology projects?
We rely on our workstation PCs to be fully functioning so that City employees can get their work done. The Computer Maintenance Program, which is funded by internal service charges (each department pays into this program), is used to maintain City-owned PCs and related equipment.
DSOG oversees the maintenance and security of the City's servers. This report details the budget associated with doing just that.
Most people are aware that DSOG is responsible for the success of computer operations and other technologies. However, our phones don't usually come to mind. We take care of those too.
IT Enterprise Operations
The Print Shop
The DSOG’s Print Shop provides printing services to various City departments. This includes printing City Council meeting agenda packets twice a month, printing public notices for Community Development-related public hearings, printing various basic print jobs (such as large quantities of letter-sized documents), and coordinating with City departments and external vendors for more complex printing services (such as brochures, business cards, door hangers, envelopes, newsletters, posters, and more). This costs money, and as such, there's a budget for it.
