Top Departmental Concerns

  • Road maintenance crew is severely understaffed causing lengthy intervals of maintenance to needed sections of the County’s roads/bridges
  • Finding additional sources of funding to bring roads up to acceptable conditions, as the SB1 and Measure G funding will not be enough to fund all the repairs necessary
  • Challenge to retain quality employees as neighboring Counties/Cities offer more competitive packages

Long Range Planning Goals (3-5 years) For Department

  • Implement technologies to enable increased productivity across all RMA functions
  • Develop long range capital projections
  • Invest in employees to equip them to take on more responsibilities, become more efficient, and make better operational decisions
