Strategic Plan 2024-2028
San Benito County's Strategic Plan was developed through a multi-stage process with input from a wide variety of stakeholders including the Board of Supervisors, management, staff, and the public. The Strategic Plan provides a blueprint for investing resources, time, and energy to meet the community's needs. It establishes key values, focus areas, a mission, and a vision the County will prioritize. The Strategic Plan will guide the policies and operations of the County. The focus area icons (see above) are included in the departmental budget narratives to identify the goals that each department is focusing on. The Strategic Plan was incorporated throughout the FY 20/21 Budget and continued to help identify the relationship between the department's implementation of Strategic Plan goals and their budgets. In FY 23/24, the Strategic Plan was updated, as well as the mission, vision, and values. In addition, actional items, adding SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) goals, and assigning leads to an
agency/department with a targeted timeframe.
