County Service Area department believes the residents of San Benito County should expect equal, efficient, and high quality customer service for all County Service areas despite size or location. County Service Areas are designed to provide services to communities built outside City limits.

Recent Departmental Accomplishments
• Replaced water meters at Stonegate CSA 31 with meters that can be managed remotely and provides an app that residents can use to read their meters.
• Hired dedicated CSA maintenance supervisor to provide better coverage and help reduce outside costs of maintenance.
• Completed roadway repaving at Ridgemark CSA 9.
Top Departmental Concerns
• Develop strategies to address CSA maintenance issues with relatively fixed funding resources.
• Respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner and effect repairs for the long-term rather than implement short-term fixes.
• Hire Staff Services Specialist to enable staff to address day to day operational needs.
Long Range Planning Goals (3-5 years) For Department
• Devise strategies to align service benefit fees with increasing maintenance costs for all CSAs.
• Establish a repeatable framework of SOPs relating to special district process.
• Continue effective management regarding administrative analysis and processes.
• Establish reserves for contingencies.
