(1095) Aid to Indigents Division

The goal of the Agency is to assist the client in obtaining employment and/or securing an alternative source of income. The Agency continues to work closely with the Social Security Administration to assist the clients with the application process. The Eligibility Specialist also assists the clients with transportation to necessary appointments as required by SSA. The Housing & Disability Advocacy Program (HDAP) has enhanced our ability to make referrals to housing support services.

• Social Security reimbursements as of April 2021 total $44,452.
• Clients granted disability benefits as of March 2021 total 13.
• Hired Social Worker to assist with Housing Navigation activities.

• Lack of affordable housing stock makes housing placements for this population very difficult.
