Division Overview

Protects and improves the health and safety of the people in San Benito County through the provision of high quality emergency and disaster medical services with reasonable costs, community involvement, continuous evaluation, injury and illness prevention programs, and anticipatory planning.

Recent Departmental Accomplishments

  • Community Outreach – “hands-only” CPR, Stop the Bleed and Pull to the Right for Sirens and Lights.
  • Successfully managed EMS while supporting the Office of Emergency Services.
  • Coordinate evacuation of local nursing home due to flooding and provide support. Utilized mutual aid for ground transportation.
  • Continue participation in the Opioid Task Force.
