(1190) Sheriff's Grants

These grants provide programmatic and financial administrative support to the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CalMMET) and Rural Crime Prevention programs to ensure compliance with state and local government policies, regulations, laws, and institutional policies and procedures as they relate to the administered monthly allocations. Serving the public by establishing a partnership with the community to protect life and property, prevent crime, and solve problems.

• Seized a total of 1,398.09 grams of methamphetamine
• Investigated, indentified suspects and turned over to the District Attorney a million dollar embezzalment case

• Availability of future grant funding
• Lack of grant writing expertise within County

• Work with community partners to assist with grant writing and funding
• Utilize grant funding for department services
• Have an assigned team for grant programs
