(32) County Clerk-Recorder-Elections

Department Overview
The County Clerk and Recorder Departments are responsible for providing direct services to the public, including recording official records, maintaining real property transactions, issuing vital records (e.g., birth, death, and marriage certificates), issuing marriage licenses, scheduling and performing wedding ceremonies, and filing fictitious business name statements as well as other para-professional registrations.
The Election Department is responsible for conducting fair, impartial, accurate, secure, and transparent federal, state, and local elections. The Election Department manages all voting equipment, training, election ballot processing, and vote tallying. The Election Department also performs all voter registration functions and provides voting-related services to voters, elected officials, campaigns, and other voting interest groups.
