Division Overview
The Migrant Center provides quality housing for Migrant families who work in agriculture. There are 59, 2-bedroom units and 8, 3-bedroom units, furnished with beds, kitchen table and chairs, dressers as well as stove and refrigerator. Each unit comes with their own private bathroom. There are two laundry facilities on site as well as a large park, picnic area and a basketball court. The facility has its own private entrance.
Due to the nature of the funding, the Migrant Center division's operation and program funding are recorded in a separate special revenue fund 256.

Recent Departmental Accomplishments
- Successfully managed the operations of the Hollister Migrant Housing Center consisting of 67 homes for Migrant Seasonal families.
- Over 100 residents have been vaccinated with the goal that all families get vaccinated.
Top Departmental Concerns
- The additional tear and wear for the units utilized by the Winter Shelter program during the winter months of December-March.
Long Range Planning Goals (3-5 years) For Department
- Utilize existing home as a day care facility and work with a daycare provider to operate on-site daycare.
- Built a multi-purpose room for the use of residents.
- Secure additional funding to hire a maintenance worker.
- Bring infrastructure for high-speed internet.
