Recent Departmental Accomplishments
- Successfully negotiated a 5-year contract with AMR for the 911 ambulance contract.
- Converting to ImageTrend for patient-care reporting.
- ImageTrend – an automated data import/export electronic patient care reporting and data program that is NEMSIS compliant and will link SCR911, the fire department and the contracted 911 provider into one pre-hospital care report, allowing data to be shared among providers from encounter to post-discharge. The County would “own” the license and would require providers to use it, which would give us access to a lot more data.
- Implementing a new system that improves data quality, collection, and analysis through the provision of real-time monitoring of clinical care. This system will afford the EMS agency the ability to continuously monitor ePCR and other data to rapidly identify and provide instantaneous feedback on individual and system performance. This was budgeted last year but paid for by AMR through the new contract agreement.
- Continued participation in the Opioid Task Force.
- Increased the funding from State Parks (Hollister Hills) by 25% for weekend ambulance coverage.
Top Departmental Concerns
- Subsidy of 911 ambulance contract using CSA36 funds.
- Training/maintaining skills for first responders in a COVID environment.
Long Range Planning Goals (3-5 year) for Department
