Division Mission/Vision

To serve the public by establishing a partnership with the community to protect life and property, prevent crime and solve problems.

Division Overview

To provide programmatic and financial administrative support to the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CalMMET), Rural Crime Prevention program and Proposition 64 Public Health & Safety Grant to ensure compliance with state and local government policies, regulations, laws, and institutional policies and procedures as they relate to the terms of the grants.

Recent Departmental Accomplishments

  • Hired tow (2) analysts from grant and CCP funds
  • Sent analyst to training to develop ability to administer grant reporting
  • CASPR Task Force from Prop 64 funds has made a substantial impact on criminal activity suppression

Top Departmental Concerns

  • Continued inability to report on grants efficiently
  • Ability to be competitive with large counties
  • Limited local college support for grant evaluation resources

Long Range Planning Goals (3-5 years) For Department

  • Encourage County to hire a full-time Grant Writer.
  • Develop our analyst to better service our grants.
  • With adequate support staff, have our office pursue more grant funding.
