(350) Internal Service Fund

Internal service funds are used to account for any activity that provides goods or services to other funds, departments, or agencies of the County. This fund is used for Resource Planning providing funding for capital projects that require replacement, maintenance, or upgrades during the life of the asset. The fund serves to establish a capital funding process, generating funds over the life of an asset, and thereby minimizing fiscal impacts to operations. The County Administrative Office has administrative authority over all aspects of the fund.

ENERGY SAVINGS SOLAR PROJECT – Revenue should be coming from various departmental utility accounts. Departments will budget as if no solar savings were in place. Expenses will be the payment amount for the fiscal year, the same methodology for future obligations of the payment plan.
