(1047) Disaster Recovery Division

Disaster Recovery division serves for response and recovery efforts associated with major disasters and emergencies where federal and or State Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance are needed.

• Activated in response to COVID-19 local emergency and national Pandemic.
• Submitted Several Reimbursement Requests to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
• Received FEMA reimbursement from the 2017 floods.
• The California Governor approved the disaster designation for winter storms of 2021 and will be providing a portion of reimbursement for road and bridge repair.

• Continue to maximize cost recovery efforts.
• State/Federal partners heavily impacted due to more recent disasters resulting in slow progress in recovery activities for San Benito County.
