(1047) Disaster Recovery Division

Disaster Recovery division serves for response and recovery efforts associated with major disasters and emergencies where federal and or State Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance are needed.

• Worked with State and Local partners to continue to actively respond to the COVID-19 local emergency and national Pandemic.
• Collaborated with consultants on submitting and completing several reimbursement requests to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Some of the projects included our Great Plates Programs, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other costs associated with COVID-19 as well as cost related to the January 2021 Storm flooding damages.

• Continue to maximize cost recovery efforts.
• State/Federal partners heavily impacted due to mass inflow of request from all over the state and country. This has resulted in slow progress in recovery activities for San Benito County.
