Program Description: Haven for Hope of Bexar County offers a place of hope and new beginnings for men, women and families experiencing homelessness in Bexar County. Haven for Hope offers shelter, direct services and coordinates an effective Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC) aimed at breaking the cycles of homelessness. In collaboration with its partners, Haven for Hope provides services relating to employment readiness, housing, case management, primary health care, dental, vision, mental health, substance abuse rehabilitation, childcare, family support and legal services.


Program Performance Measures

Number (#) of unduplicated clients served on Campus (excluding Courtyard) - inclusive of partner programs

"Unduplicated clients" means each client who receives services in the current contract term will only be counted once in this performance measure. The current contract term is October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 for FY2023.


This performance measure is inclusive of the men's dorm, women's dorm, direct referral program, and family dorm as well as partner programs including the Integrated Treatment Program, Thrive, and Pay it Forward.

Number (#) of unduplicated clients served on the campus (excluding Courtyard) - exclusive of partner programs

"Unduplicated clients" means each client who receives services in the current contract term will only be counted once in this performance measure. The current contract term is October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 for FY2023.


This performance measure excludes partner programs including the Integrated Treatment Program, Thrive, and Pay it Forward.

Number (#) of unduplicated verified Veterans enrolled in the Veteran Navigator Program

"Unduplicated clients" means each client who receives services in the current contract term will only be counted once in this performance measure. The current contract term is October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 for FY2023.


"Verified veterans" means the client's veteran credentials have been confirmed.

Number (#) of verified Veterans exiting with a permanent or transitional housing destination


Number (#) of individuals and/or families identified by the Homeless Outreach Team from street encampments who receive up to 3 months of rental assistance

Number (#) of unduplicated clients receiving therapeutic services by the Clinical Services Specialist (CSS)

"Unduplicated clients" means each client who receives services in the current contract term will only be counted once in this performance measure. The current contract term is October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 for FY2023.

Percentage (%) clients that exit from Haven for Hope Campus to a permanent housing destination

This performance measure is inclusive of the men's dorm, women's dorm, direct referral program (family overflow & men's program), and family dorm.

Percentage (%) of persons transitioned from Courtyard to other appropriate housing or shelter

This performance measure is inclusive of the shelter and specialty residential programs.

Number (#) of unduplicated Courtyard clients transitioning to a permanent housing destination
