The Open Homes Program to help local residents evacuating and those deploying to respond to Carr, River and Ranch (Mendocino Complex) wildfires in Northern California find free emergency short-term accommodations.


The program recruits hosts who are willing and able to provide free urgent housing to displaced residents and disaster relief workers in the area. Our goal is to ensure those able to open their homes are aware of the program and that anyone affected and in need of shelter knows this program is an option.


The Open Homes Program is currently slated to run through August 17, 2018 and we encourage hosts in the area to consider opening their homes to those who are in need of urgent temporary accommodations or for relief workers helping in the area.
