Welcome to the Phoenix Police Department Use of Force (UOF) Dashboard
The Phoenix Police Department (PPD) is committed to serving and protecting each person in our community while treating everyone with dignity and respect. Part of that commitment, and our pledge towards increased transparency, is providing community members with access to data regarding interactions between officers and the community.
Use of Force incident and demographic charts from January 1, 2018 through 3-months prior to the 1st day of the current month are available to explore using the menu above or clicking on the icons below. The Full Dataset is available on the city’s Open Data Portal. Dashboards specific to Officer-Involved Shootings (OIS) and Officer Pointed Gun at Person (PGP) are also available.
Every interaction with police is unique. Data alone cannot capture an officer’s training, experience, or the totality of the circumstances of that moment; however, data does provide trends we can learn from. We encourage you to review the data as a partner in our efforts to better inform and serve you each and every day.
