The General Services department provides goods and services needed on a city-wide basis, which is not provided for in a specific department. Examples of these services include garbage and recycling collection, tipping fees, unemployment compensation, and property and casualty insurance. The Honda Classic activity is combined with General Services for reporting purposes.

Expenditures for General Services total $18,433,248. This amount reflects an increase of $8,894,092, or 93.2% from the fiscal year 2023 adopted budget of $9,539,156. The increase in budget from the prior year is partially due to the planned transfer from the General fund to facilitate the construction of the Burns Road Community Center and to address the financial needs arising from the temporary shutdown necessitated by the construction process.
