Department Description

The Information Technology Department (IT) provides County Departments, Constitutional Offices, and the Judicial Courts System the effective delivery of IT services to support the business needs of the County. The Department is a vital part of the organization, providing faster and more efficient ways for employees to complete their duties and for citizens to access the County's services.


IT Department Services

The IT Department manages the following core services:

Operations

Operations is focused on the day to day business needs of the County and is comprised of the following teams:


Cybersecurity - Administrates and maintains enterprise-wide security governance, audits, training, monitoring, and compliance within a zero-trust framework.


INOSC (Integrated Network Operations & Security Center) - Provides monitoring, detection, and analysis of the County’s IT infrastructure including first level support for the organization.
Infrastructure Support - Installs, configures, and administrates all County data center and cloud infrastructure.

Network Support – Provides enterprise network infrastructure, connectivity, and bandwidth for all county services.


Telecommunications Support - Provides all enterprise telephony architecture, configuration, and support.

Public Safety Support - Supports 911 Emergency Communications, Fire Rescue, and County Radio Communications.

Desktop Support - Provides all endpoint computing services and support.

Business Applications

Business Applications is focused on application and technology product life cycles and is comprised of the following teams:


TAMPA – Technology, Asset Management, and Power Assurance.


DART - Digital Application Resource Team is Responsible for adoption of new technology across the County.


Geomatics-Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) - Collection, distribution, storing, analysis, presentation of geographic organizational data and information. Administrates and provides County addressing

Product Management - Provides project management, implementation, and life cycle support for technology products.

Production Support Applications - Provides enterprise application support, assisting users with issues, training, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Solutions Delivery Team – Provides database administration, custom development, reporting, modifications, support, and design of County applications and interfaces.

Consolidated Justice Information Systems (CJIS) - - Statutorily mandated by the State to provide technical support for all court-related agencies within the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court.

Enterprise Document Management - Perform organization records retention, public records requests, public records searches, and document governance and standards including ADA.
Administrative Support - Provides for enterprise technology planning and visioning, departmental fiscal and budgeting needs, and all administrative related functions.
