Hurricane Milton
The latest information from the City of Ormond Beach
ππ‘ Important Waste Pro Service Update! π‘π
Weβre seeing a significant increase in the amount of garbage collected due to food waste from recent power outages β‘π, with about 3x the normal amount of trash. There's also some backup at the landfill, but weβve added an extra truck today to help keep things moving π.
π If your garbage isnβt picked up by 7 PM tonight, please leave it out, and the team will return in the morning π to collect it before starting the yard waste routes πΏ.
π If your yard waste isnβt picked up tomorrow, it will be collected on Saturday π. We understand this can be frustrating, but our hardworking crews πͺ are staying out until 7 PM, after which itβs no longer safe to operate in the dark π.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation! π

Hurricane Milton Update: Boil Water Notice Rescinded
Great news for residents from Via Madrid Dr. to Gamble Rogers State Park! The Boil Water Notice has officially been rescinded. π§ You can now use your water as usual.
Storm Debris Removal:
Storm Debris Removal:
π§ΉIn an effort to restore our City to a clean and orderly appearance, the City has coordinated for storm debris removal to begin Monday, October 14. Our contractor, Crowder Gulf, will pick up any bulk waste, but will need our residentsβ cooperation in order to make the removal process as efficient as possible.
π§ They begin clearing in the hardest-hit areas and will then proceed to the major thoroughfares before proceeding neighborhood by neighborhood. Please have patience as this can take some time!
ποΈ Smaller debris that can fit into bags can be collected by our regular yard waste removal on Wednesdays. The specialized storm debris removal team will NOT take items in bags, so this should be reserved for your regular yard waste only!
Ormond Beach only picks up storm debris from city streets. The County will pick up from streets they own.
π« Residents should bring storm debris to the public right of way, the area that extends from the street to the sidewalk, ditch, utility pole or easement. Residents should not place debris in the road; this obstructs traffic, hinders cleanup and power restoration efforts, and makes it difficult for emergency vehicles to pass. If possible, keep debris away from drainage ditches, inlets, mailboxes and power lines. Do not cover storm drains and never block fire hydrants.
ππ»Following these instructions will ensure a successful clean-up for our City. We would not want anyone to have a missed pick-up and have to personally dispose of your debris due to an error in placement etc.
Please help us make our clean-up effort successful!
