A SUMMARY OF WHAT WE'VE HEARD

VISION SURVEY RESULTS

The Vision Phase of outreach for the North Tustin Street Specific Plan was the opportunity for the City and Consultant Team to share with the public a "Vision" for North Tustin Street, as formulated according to community comments in earlier stages of outreach, and to receive feedback regarding the concepts and illustrations presented. The Vision Phase began with a workshop that took place on July 20, 2021, during which attendees participated in a survey, and was followed by the same survey being published online on August 11, 2021. The in-person workshop had over 65 community members in attendance, of which 58 completed surveys. The online survey had received 25 responses as of August 23rd, 2021. The following summary provides a record of the results of the survey as of August 23, 2021. You can view the video of the in-person Vision Workshop and find the online survey here.

This summary combines the in-person survey responses from the Workshop and the Online survey responses. All responses and comments have been reviewed by the project team and a summary of important takeaways is shared below. This feedback will be used to refine the Vision according to community preferences, update the Framework Plan for the corridor, and develop a draft regulating plan for City Council consideration that describes potential options for land uses and development standards for the corridor, both in private development and within the public right-of-way. These plans will be shared with the City Council in iterations to arrive at a "preferred plan".
