The holiday light shows had an amazing season and brought joy to many visitors. During this season, the light shows had the highest net income ever, with a total of almost $4 million in net income. The net income for last year was $3.2 million which had been the highest up until now. The budget for this was $2.4 million through March.
The Bull Run Light Show has a net income of $2 million through March, which is the second strongest net income yet, just behind last year by $130,940. It is also $659,751 over budget.
The Meadowlark Winter Walk of Lights was not hampered by capacity restrictions, as it was last year from the pandemic. This resulted in a record-breaking year for the Winter Walk of Lights, with net income through March of $1.8 million. Prior to this year the highest net was last year at $1 million. The net income exceeds the budgeted net income by $751,312.
Cameron Run Ice & Lights is shaping up to have its best year, with YTD net income at $162,524. This is $51,227 higher than its best year in FY 2020.
The single month of March shows a net loss of $27,482 for the light shows. This is due to production costs that are refelected in March this year.
