Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund
Fund Description
Established in 1997, the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund is used to account for revenues generated by the collection of the Hotel Occupancy Tax. Texas allows local governments to collect up to 7% of the cost of a hotel room in the form of the Hotel Occupancy Tax. This revenue supports various projects that enhance and promote tourism, the arts supports, and the convention/ hotel industry within Northlake, as allowed by state law.
