The Capital Improvements Fund accounts for income tax revenue that are committed for various capital projects. In 2023, the City will transfer $1,825,000 from Income Taxes for the following capital equipment and/or projects:

- Multiple work trucks/van

- Two Police Patrol Vehicles

- Strausser Park Playground

- Civic Center Parking Lot

- Wise Avenue Reconstruction

- Asphalt Roller

- Salt Dome Rehabilitation Project (year 2 of 4)

- HVAC Control System in City Hall

- Portage Charlotte Corridor & Roundabout

- Ventrac Mower & attachments

- Traffic Cameras, Controller, and related equipment
