Introduction - April

The purpose of this report is to summarize the financial position of the City of New Albany (City) on a monthly basis using year-to-date (YTD) and prior year information for comparison purposes. The document is comprised of two major sections:

  1. General Fund analysis
  2. All Funds analysis

Each section contains graphs with supporting analysis. In the appendices are supporting financial documentation relating to the analysis. Within each section, financial information is displayed at the following levels:

  1. Fund
  2. Revenue
  3. Expense

The General Fund section contains additional data used to measure and assess the City’s financial condition. The goal is to emphasize the General Fund as the best overall indicator of the financial health of the City and to utilize All Funds for a more holistic view. A summary of Investments is also included.
