Wastewater Department
The Wastewater Department is responsible for the following functions:
- Municipal Wastewater Treatment
- Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance & Operation
- Wastewater Collection System Maintenance & Operation
- Inflow & Infiltration Control
- Wastewater Quality Monitoring
- Enforcement of City Wastewater Regulations
- Sludge Disposal
- Regulatory Compliance
- Wastewater Pumping Station Maintenance & Operation
In FY2022, the Wastewater Department plans to begin or complete several capital projects:
Capital Improvements ($1,384,160)
- Sand Filter Rehabilitation and Upgrade
- Wastewater Lines and Manhole Rehabilitation
- WWTP Engineering Assessment
- Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing
- Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Generators
Staffing
All Water & Sewer Fund employees are expensed in the General & Administrative Department.

Wastewater Treatment Plant (18900 Upper Bay Road), wastewater lift stations, and transmission lines.
