Special Revenue & Grant Fund

The Special Revenue & Grant Fund accounts for specific revenue sources and grant funds that are legally restricted to expenditures for designated purposes. The City has several significant ongoing grants in FY2022.

In FY2022 the City and several of its residents will continue to see the impact of the Flood Mitigation Assistance Program Elevation Grant, which is administered by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) on behalf of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The City is the local pass-through recipient/administrator. Via the City, 38 repetitive-loss residential properties have received this grant assistance in raising their homes two feet above current base flood elevation to be in compliance with FEMA and City requirements. Nearly 30 more houses have been approved or are in consideration for future grant assistance. In FY2022 the City will begin the 2018 grant cycle.
