Special Operations Warehouse
The District purchased a warehouse located at 2470 Pulgas Avenue, East Palo Alto in 2017 for $5 million. This warehouse stores the CATF3 cache and the CATF3 staff operate in this building. The warehouse currently has no emergency backup power functionality. In order to provide and ensure operational readiness, the warehouse needs to have reliable power to allow for the task force to deploy. The District has contracted with PC Inc. for the installation of a generator to provide emergency power to the warehouse. Additionally, the District is in the process of designing renovations to the office area of the warehouse and providing HVAC to the middle building.
Special Operations Warehouse-Warehouse Generator Replacement Project
The District purchased a warehouse in 2017 for $5 million. Since then the Fire District has done a series of improvements including electrical safe off, installation of data infrastructure, paging system, security cameras, site fencing, solar-powered automatic vehicle gate, as well as other security and safety improvements. This warehouse stores the CATF3 cache and the CATF3 staff operate out of this building. The warehouse currently has no emergency backup power functionality. In order to provide and ensure operational readiness the warehouse needs to have reliable power to allow for the task force to deploy. The District has contracted with PC, Inc for the installation the generator and ATS.
Special Operations Warehouse-Warehouse Office Renovation Project
The District’s warehouse facility is comprised of three interconnected buildings. The main warehouse building includes several small offices on the first and second floors. These office spaces were poorly designed requiring employees to walk through offices in order to gain access to other spaces. The renovation project will include reconfiguring the office space to improve circulation and privacy.
Special Operations Warehouse-Warehouse HVAC Replacement Project
The District’s warehouse facility is comprised of three interconnected buildings. This warehouse stores the CATF3 cache and the CATF3 staff operate in this building. The middle building is used by the task force for trainings and for pre-deployment and post deployment briefings. There is no air conditioning in this building and there are no windows to provide natural light. The project includes replacing the roll up doors with glass sectional doors as well as to install HVAC and an exhaust fan.
