Fire Station 5
Fire Station 5 is a 3,200-square-foot single-story structure located in the City of Menlo Park, that was built and commissioned in 1998. Station 5 serves the North Fair Oaks area of the Fire District and unincorporated areas of Redwood City. The station will either need to be enlarged or relocated to address future needs. Currently, the station is in good condition. There are no capital improvement projects currently proposed for FY 2024-25 at Fire Station 5.
Fire Station 5 has the primary response areas of unincorporated North Fair Oaks, the City of Menlo Park, and the Town of Atherton. Station 5 responds to Redwood City as part of the County Closet Unit, Automatic Aid, and Move and Cover Agreement. Staffed units at this station include Engine 5 with a captain and two firefighters, one being a qualified engineer. At least one of the three personnel is a licensed paramedic providing advanced life support services.
