PROJECT DESCRIPTION

DuPage County Stormwater Management is planning to construct a stormwater detention basin on County owned property at Main Street and St. Joseph's Creek. For the Village portion of the project, a multi-use path would be constructed on the north side of the basin, providing a pedestrian and bike connection between Main Street and the neighborhood to the east. The Village is responsible for the cost of design and construction of the path.

OPERATING IMPACT

The Village will be responsible for future maintenance of the path including patching.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS

DuPage County has indicated a fall 2023 construction timeframe. The County will deed the land occupied by the path over to the Village for maintenance purposes.
