FUEL ISLAND IMPROVEMENTS

VILLAGE OF LISLE | FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 BUDGET

SUMMARY

PROJECT TITLE: Fuel Island Improvement Project

DEPARTMENT: Public Works

START DATE (FY): 05/01/2023

END DATE (FY): 04/30/2024

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The fueling system at the Public Works facility consists of two 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks, with one tank storing gasoline and the other storing diesel fuel. The underground storage tanks are over 35 years old, with the pumps and the control systems having reached 20 years of service. The tanks and these components are considered to have reached the end of their useful service life, and sourcing parts for repairs has become difficult and costly. This project would include the preparation of contract documents (plans and specifications) for the installation of one diesel fueling station at the Village's Public Works Facility. The gasoline portion of the Village's fleet would transition to WEX for vehicle and equipment fueling.

OPERATING IMPACT

No changes in operating costs anticipated at this time.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS

This project will begin the work necessary to complete the installation of a fueling station at the Public Works Facility at a later date.
