The 2023 Budget includes a total of 681 allocated positions: 674 Full Time and 7 Part Time. The city-wide increase in staffing is to better meet the needs of the community. The Position Comparison schedule included within this budget document provides further detail of the positions and changes by department.

The 2021 and 2022 budgets are presented as the approved budgets rather than the amended budgets. Position allocation changes and reclassifications approved by Commission during interim periods are reflected only in the subsequent budget.

The 2023 budget requests approval of five new full time allocations and one part time allocation.

The following full time positions have been requested for approval:

• Sustainability Coordinator
• Purchasing Specialist
• Accounting Supervisor
• Public Works Field Manager
• Solid Waste Coordinator

The following part time position has been requested for approval:

• Project Assistant for Brownfield Redevelopment

On December 19, 2022, the City Commission approved the full time equivalent position for the FFE Executive Director effective January 1, 2023. This change is not reflected in the position charts and graphs.
