General Fund
The General Fund is used to account for all general operating revenues and expenditures of the City not accounted for in another fund. Revenues are derived primarily from property taxes, state distributions, the Foundation for Excellence, charges for inter-departmental services and transfers from other funds. These revenues are used to finance basic City services such as Public Safety, Parks & Recreation, Community Planning and Economic Development, Public Services, and General Government activities.
