COUNCIL FLOOD RECOVERY COORDINATION PROGRAM
Learn how Council is undertaking significant works across the city.

What is the Council Flood Recovery Coordination Program?
Following the severe weather impacts on Ipswich in early 2022, Council undertook significant emergency works on public assets such as parks, buildings and roads across the city. Now, Council has progressed to the recovery and reconstruction phase.
With such a large task ahead, Council identified the need to find a more coordinated approach to manage flood recovery activities in a way that minimises the impact on our business-as-usual work.
The Council Flood Recovery Coordination Program has been established and provides organisational coordination across four key streams:
- Stream 1 - Council Asset Recovery Program
- Stream 2 - Extraordinary Waste Recovery Project
- Stream 3 - Environmental Rehabilitation Program
- Stream 4 - Resilient Homes Fund Program.
To provide an overview of the recovery works scheduled, underway and already completed, an interactive map has been developed to provide details of the flood recovery projects across the Ipswich City Council area.
